Isabel has been involved in drama from her early school years. She went on to study drama at the Victorian College of Arts Queensland University of Technology as well as lately, she studied in the PEM Method (Perdekamp Emotional Method). She did not audition for parts until her agent discovered her in 2002. She auditioned for the role of Tasha for the TV show Home and Away. While they were not convinced that she could be suitable for this part, the production team was so impressed that they made another character for Tasha. She spent 3 years playing her first role on television and won the Logie Award (for new popular talents) for her role. Isabel was moved her home to Los Angeles, California in 2008.
